I was raised on Vancouver Island with a childhood full of camping and backpacking. Exploring the Forest service roads, long since deactivated and quickly being taken over by nature, with my family created a strong passion for outdoor adventure. Over the years my excitement to get out in nature led me to start hunting and I purchased my first rifle. When I was in the store trying to select the sling and accessories I would use I was very let down by my choices. I decided I would make what I had envisioned myself instead of settling with the available options. Coming from a creative household I had always had one creative hobby or another (painting, joinery, guitar refinishing) and leathercraft quickly became my new all encompassing pursuit. All my items are handmade by me and are made to order which allows greater freedom for custom designs. Custom work is where BC Bushcraft Leather got started and I want to always stay true to that origin. Working with clients to create unique products to fit their needs is one of the most rewarding aspects of this trade.
